In 2001 the World Clown Association entered an agreement with the Veterans Fund to
encourage clowns to visit VA facilities.
The World Clown Association is one of five cooperating entertainment organizations
associated with the Veterans Fund. These five where originally known as PAVE but a
name change is underway one which will identify clowns.
These five organizations and the Veterans Fund met in Washington DC where we
agreed to encourage entertainers to present shows in VA Medical Centers,
Domicilaries, and Veteran’s Homes.
Three goals where formulated and can be reviewed on the Veterans Fund website
which we have a link to. WWW. Veteransfund.com
The following can be found on the Veterans Fund website, VA facility locations, WCA
entertainer’s posters, and a list of cooperating entertainers organizations.
WCA supports the original 3 goals and encourages its members to visit our VA facilities.
While reports of these visits are not required the committee chairperson would
appreciate a report so they can use these in Clowning Around articles.
