Center in the Los Angeles, CA area. She was very
proud of the “7 Simple Rules of Clowning Success”
course she developed that was offered to the
community as a public service at Torrance Memorial.
She helped found the” Clowns on Rounds” visitation
program there. This clown course was a prerequisite
for anyone wishing to become a caring clown
volunteer there. For nineteen years, Joyce volunteered
in this program.
Joyce was a unique, creative, talented, thoughtful,
dependable, beautiful caring clown, mentor and lov-
ing friend. We can honor Joyce’s memory by following
her #1 rule of clowning: “Be Yourself” and by always
sharing joy and happiness with others.
About five years ago, Joyce fought her own battle
with cancer and came through that struggle. Joyce
was hit with illness again recently.
Joyce’s husband of 50 years, Walter, and son, Eric
continue to cherish the years they had together.
