A Note From Your President
Hello Amazing Laugh Doctors!
I am having trouble wrapping my head around the fact
that we are only 2 weeks away from our Dallas, 2025
Convention by the time you receive this. I also can’t
believe these are my last days as the President of this
World Clown Association. Two years have flown by, not
without hours of work and creativity and just loving
all of the friends I have met and made throughout
the globe. You are brilliant, you are adaptive, you are
clever, you are laugh doctors! I am proud to call you
friend, whether we met briefly or we talk weekly.
What you do is so important. I realize you may not ever
hear that, but listen closely, “What you do is so important!” The universe needs more
of you. Please consider attending our convention this coming March, I want to hug you,
thank you and share with you in person!
I also want to take this time to express my gratitude to all of you. We have had
some huge undertakings these past two years. We are transitioning to new
management, have been updating the website, updated and refaced our magazine,
worked on budgets, future conventions and plans, daily membership needs and
so much more. I have met scores of amazing talents, interviewed with numerous
producers, attended several conventions and gatherings throughout the states and
performed with you, the best!
I have traveled through several regions these past few weeks and attended some
fabulous gatherings. Dolly (your new manager) and I traveled to Michigan to see
Andy Moler to help with transferring materials and needs. (We miss you Andy). I
traveled to The Villages Florida and was able to listen and learn from the best with
SECA this year. Wendy Sudberg put on an amazing array of activities and classes,
along with her fabulous Florida team. I was so impressed. I went from there to
Dallas, Texas with many members of our Executive committee, Louise Carnesale,
Dolly Jones and BJ Craver, as we finalized details and met with the most amazing
staff ever at the Dallas North Renaissance Hotel. I cannot express how helpful and
detailed this team and ours were on this very special trip. From Dallas, I returned
home to work and then drove to Houston, Texas to attend an event put on by the
talented and master clowns of the Houston and Dallas Latino clown community.
